Workshop

Join photographer Alan Dimmick for an informal workshop based in his city centre studio and on a photo walk in the surrounding area on Sat 25th May.

The participants will:-

– Explore part of Alan’s archive and learn the stories behind some of the images.

– Hear what motivates Alan to take photographs and gain an insight into his thought processes in selecting images.

– Discuss what makes a good composition and explore editing and cropping images in camera.

– Learn some technical considerations in real life situations such as coping with varying light.

ROUGH TIMETABLE OF WORKSHOP:

• 10.30 Meet at South Block and visit Alan Dimmick’s studio and archive for coffee and chat.

• 11.30 to approx 1pm Photo walk around Glasgow Green etc.
• 1.15 to 2.15 Lunch Break (please make own arrangements)
• 2.15 to 4.30 Discussion on photos taken on walk with more time to look at the archive

Participants should bring their own camera for the photo walk or bring some images they like. Cost for the day with Tea/Coffee is £50
